I want to be notified whenever a schedule change is made in pagerduty. This should be configurable on a global level (i.e. when any change is made) or on a user level (i.e. when only my shift changes). Our schedules experience frequent overrides, often without the knowledge of the person who is affected by the override.
Notification alert when schedules change
Hi Marshall,
Iām on the Product team at PagerDuty. Thank you for the request! Weāve heard this problem from other customers as well and have already started exploring ways to address it. If you could reply with either your PagerDuty login email or your subdomain, I can reach out to you when we have updates in this area.
Thank you!
Katie
Hi, @katie. Was wondering if this is still on the road map. We just started using PD and one of the managers is requesting this feature.
thanks,
Patrick
Hello,
This feature is being raised internally and will be considered by the Product Team.
Cheers
Weāve just started using PagerDuty, and at the meanwhile weāre not running a 24/7 NOC team for certain services, weāre actually having the team/personnel update the Slack channel with āNOC OnClal = āNameāā so that itās clear if/who is on shift. An API update such as available for the incidents themselves would be pretty useful.
Hello Moran,
You ask is not so clear and seems not to be related to the thread here. Please can I have more context as to An API update such as available for the incidents themselves would be pretty useful.
Cheers
Hi Sudheer,
Iām on the Product team at PagerDuty. We are currently in the process of releasing this feature, and all accounts should have access within the next two months. When released for your account, you should be able to find it in your mobile app settings called āOn-Call Boostersā. With On-Call Boosters enabled, you will receive push notifications for changes related to your schedule and on-call shift.
Feel free to ask any questions at jhan@pagerduty.com.
Best,
Jacob
We ran into an issue on our team where PagerDuty has started sending notifications out to the entire team even when a single small override is put down for over one personās schedule. The notification to everyone says, āThe schedule has been updated and your upcoming oncall shift has changedā, but thatās not the case.
Weāre wondering if this might be a bug related to this On-Call Boosters feature. If not, any recommendation on how to turn this off?
Thanks!
Nathan
I filed a bug report with the team that owns this feature. Theyāll be able to look into this and determine if there are any issues. Thanks for letting us know!
Hi @nathan.thomas, Iām Jacob and Iām on the Product team at PagerDuty.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Would you mind filing a bug with our support team so we can look into this issue for you? It would help us to know additional information like your subdomain and device information.
Thanks,
Jacob
